Job description:
Key Tasks:
- Prepare, cut, bone, trim, and slice meat according to business and customer specifications.
- Mince, grind, tenderise, and process meat as required.
- Weigh, package, and label meat products accurately and according to regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards in line with Australian regulations.
- Monitor product quality, assist with stock rotation, and manage inventory levels.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and service goals.
- Provide excellent customer service when required and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Operate equipment safely and follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Certificate III in Meat Processing (Retail Butcher) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Skills Assessment for ANZSCO 351211 (Butcher).
- Valid IELTS or PTE test results meeting the 482 visa requirements.
- Physically fit to perform the demanding duties of the role.
- Strong knife handling skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Sound understanding of meat cuts, preparation methods, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Desired: Previous experience in a retail or commercial meat processing environment in Australia or overseas.
- Desired: Knowledge of Australian meat standards and labelling requirements.
