Job description:
Key Tasks:
- Machine components to tolerance using lathes and milling machines.
- Deliver jobs in line with the Job Delivery Procedure including; Job Management and Quality Control.
- Manage customer property, select materials, and calibrate measuring equipment.
- Notify the Operations Manager/Director when Jobs are completed or when transitioning between jobs and carry out onsite work.
- Participate as required in planned communication such as; production meetings, toolbox talks, WHS consultations, and WHS issue resolution.
- Ensure document control including using documents appropriately and identifying relevant external documents.
- Respond to Emergency Situations and Incidents.
- Manage Chemicals including maintaining Hazardous Chemical Register, storage, using hazardous chemicals, and transporting chemicals.
Requirements:
- Certificate 3 or higher in Engineering tradesperson (mechanical) or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience.
- Minimum 8 years of Machining experience.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
- Competent in all facets of the trade including Machining with Lathes and Milling machines to tight tolerances and finishes.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, use precision measuring equipment, and understand limits and fits.
- Proficient in the use of correct machine tooling.
