Job description:
Key Tasks:
- Handle a variety of installation, maintenance, and repair works on water, gas, and drainage systems.
- Carry out plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs across residential and commercial properties.
- Locate and repair burst pipes, clear blocked drains, and provide reports on findings.
- Service and replace taps, toilets, traps, and other fixtures and fittings.
- Install and maintain electric and solar hot water systems.
- Perform gas fitting and appliance installations (for licensed gas fitters).
- Install roof plumbing systems — including gutters, downpipes, and flashings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to determine plumbing layouts.
- Accurately record job details, materials, and time using digital job systems (e.g., Simpro App).
- Maintain and care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment.
- Follow all WHS procedures and participate in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
Requirements:
- Trade Certificate III in Plumbing (Tradesman License) and a Drainer Certificate.
- Valid Manual Driver's License.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the plumbing trade.
- Thorough understanding of applicable Australian plumbing codes and standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3500).
- Clean police record.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional communication and time management skills.
- Desired: Gas Fitting Endorsement.
- Desired: Experience using Simpro or similar job management systems.
